Men’s Fashion

Pocket Squares And Tie Clips

You can never be overdressed or overeducated.

— Oscar Wilde.

At first, men’s fashion was not something that I was particularly interested in. I was the “t-shirt and jeans” guy for most of my childhood and teenage years. I never really knew what my style was growing up, so I always opted for the same type of outfit.

It wasn’t until I came across the show White Collar that I began to understand what men’s fashion was. Matt Bomer played a suave criminal, putting as much detail into his fashion choices as he did his cons. In time I modeled a lot of my own style choices from good old Mr. Caffrey, making a presidential fold pocket square paired with a tie clip my staple. I later picked up tips from the likes of Don Draper, Chuck Bass, as well as real life fashion icons like David Beckham and Frank Sinatra.

As a man in the U.S., dressing up is something that your friends might give you a hard time about. It’s not expected of men to pay attention to what they wear and to think about how they want to be portrayed to the world when it comes to fashion. But at the end of the day, if you enjoy it you should by all means go for it. It is worth to note that it can be expensive, however, but there are many ways to make dressing well affordable. In later blogs I will go more in depth about this topic.

I hope you all enjoy my posts as I cover a variety of topics within men’s fashion. If you have any suggestions on what you’d like to see on the blog, let me know in the comments. Until then, make it simple, but significant.
